EMERGING LEADERS ACADEMY

PURPOSE

The Academy has been developed to assist competitive age group players in gaining the knowledge, skills, qualifications and confidence required to take on coaching and leadership roles within Chinchilla FC.

KEY POINTS

Target:

  • Teenage club members with an interest in coaching

Age of Eligibility:

  • 14 - 17 years (2024 calendar year)

Allocations:

  • There are up to 8 Academy positions available in 2024

PROGRAM DETAILS

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for the Academy, applicants must meet all of the following requirements;

  • Be a registered, or registering, player for Chinchilla FC for the 2024 season

  • Be turning, 14, 15, 16 or 17 during the 2024 calendar year

  • Demonstrated previous service to the club

  • Complete the application and selection process

APPLICATION INFORMATION

We use the following components to consider you for the Academy:

Written Application

  • To give yourself the best chance, we recommend you do your best to complete all sections of your applications truthfully, in full, and with thought.

Previous Service to the Club

  • Volunteering and behavioural conduct during the previous season (2023)

SHORTLISTING

Applicants will be shortlisted and may be required to provide additional information

 

ACADEMY DETAILS

Successful applicants will receive financial assistance and mentoring support to complete the following;

  • Foundations of Football Coaching Course (value $100)

  • Provide First Aid and CPR (value $129)

  • Fire Extinguisher Course 

  • Self Defence workshop

  • Working With Children Blue Card - Volunteer

  • Academy polo (value $40)

Successful applicants will receive reimbursement of out of pocket expenses to complete the following:

  • 2024 season player registration (value $150)

  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (value $35)

​

Maximum value of the Academy is $454

​

The expenses associated with the Academy are covered or reimbursed through Sponsor and supplier donation

​

TERMS AND CONDITIONS​

To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:

  • Maintain their requirements of eligibility

  • Adhere to the Conditions and Terms of the Academy

  • Attend compulsory program components

  • Complete all component requirements by the Academy completion date

  • Take on an assistant coaching role with a younger age group Chinchilla FC team

  • Have the support of their parent/guardian to ensure they are able to attend to all components of the Academy

Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date of midnight, Sunday 4th of February 2024

 

If a successful applicant fails to successfully meet these considerations, reimbursement may be withheld, or the successful applicant's Academy position may be terminated.
